"I came up with the concept for The Upper Deck Company in the summer of 1987, created and founded the company over the next 6 months and was delivering product in the following year. During that time it was important to me to acquire a support team to include a Banker, an Attorney and a CPA that I would be able to trust implicitly and explicitly. I asked my friends and associates for the names of 3 people in each of these categories and I interviewed all nine of them. For a CPA I chose Joseph Weisz. Criteria I used were personality, command and knowledge of subject, integrity and toughness, including handshake style.
I had been audited in the past and figured I would be audited in the future. I had to have an individual that I could trust fully in his or her capabilities in dealing with the intricacies of the financial world, having command of the latest and most up to date information, and the ability to not be intimidated by the myriads of bombardments of inefficient, non-compliant and uneducated attempts to disrupt my work at hand.
I sold The Upper Deck Company in 1998 and have had several other successful businesses from Fine Lithography in Lithocraft, Anaheim CA to Book Publishing, The Donovan Publishing Company in Newport Beach, CA, and Custom Homebuilding, Pacific Coast Homebuilders along the Pacific Coast in California.

Joe has been a practicing CPA since 1978. Prior to Weisz & Associates, Joe was a partner in a Los Angeles CPA firm and established an Orange County branch of that firm. Joe specializes in business and individual tax consulting. He is the father of three children and a resident of Laguna Hills. When he is not diligently working he spends his weekends as a soccer referee. Joe also enjoys spending time working with various local non-profit referee and soccer associations. He speaks Hungarian & Romanian in addition to English.

Michael joined Weisz & Associates in 2006. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in Business Economics with an emphasis in accounting. He earned his CPA certificate in 2009. Michael prepares business, individual, trust, and non-profit tax returns. He also work closely with clients to help solve tax problems. Michael enjoys playing soccer on weekends. He resides in Irvine with his fiancé and two dogs.

Sarah Nagel, CPA, EA, Notary Public
As a practicing Certified Public Accountant, she has been offering tax preparation, planning, small business advisory services and tax problem resolution and representation services, to individual clients, since 1984. Educated as an accountant, Sarah left her career with the Internal Revenue Service as a Field Tax Auditor in 1989 to expand her husband’s importing business, where she worked as the Controller Owner and Senior Accountant until 2001. She is the President and Founder of Expressions of Grace, a non-profit organization, and Expressions, Inc., a property management business. Her three children attend school in the Saddleback Valley School District. She has served on the Saddleback Valley Educational Foundation since 2003. She has been active in the Cub Scouts, Daisy Girl Scouts, PTA, and School Site Council.

Jorge was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He moved to the US in 1962 to pursue a career in public accounting. He earned his CPA certificate in 1973. He and his wife Rosemary have six children and ten grandchildren. Jorge has been actively involved with the American Youth Soccer Organization as a coach, referee, and treasurer.. He also participates in paddle tennis, bicycling, ballroom dancing, and traveling in his motor home. He is a member of Kiwanis International, and a fan of Argentinean BBQ.

Noga has been working as a bookkeeper for several years, and has been with Weisz & Associates for the last three years. In 2006, she earned her accounting certificate from Irvine Valley College. She is a resident of Irvine, married, and has two daughters. Outside of work, Noga likes to spend time with her family. She also enjoys traveling internationally and experiencing different cultures. Her special hobby is designing custom jewelry.
Sirlene Wenham, Administration
Shirlene came to California from Texas over six years ago and joined Weisz & Associates that same year. She has an extensive background in marketing and client development. She loves exploring the California Coast, and whenever possible, spending time with her family in Texas and Florida.
